Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond Hire & Safety Agreement

This agreement forms part of your booking with Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond. Please read it carefully before signing and paying.
1. Your booking and authority
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the booking details you provide are accurate, and that you have authority to accept this agreement for the hirer and event venue.
You will tell Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond promptly if the date, venue, access, surface, age group, participant numbers or other material details change.
2. Venue, access and safe installation
The venue must provide safe, clear side or rear access; equipment will not be taken through a house. Outdoor inflatables require a suitable, level grass area unless Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond agrees another safe arrangement in writing.
Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond may refuse, stop or alter a setup if access, space, overhead clearance, anchoring, ground conditions, weather or any other condition is unsafe or differs materially from the information supplied.
3. Responsible adult supervision
A responsible adult must supervise the equipment continuously while it is available for use. The supervisor must follow all instructions given at handover and all capacity, age, height and user-separation limits shown on the equipment or supplied by Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond.
Larger and smaller users must be kept separate where instructed, and the equipment must never be left operating or accessible without suitable supervision.
4. Participant safety rules
Users must remove shoes, glasses and sharp or dangerous items before using inflatable or soft-play equipment. Food, drink, chewing gum, face paint, silly string, smoking, animals and rough or reckless play are not permitted on the equipment.
Users must not climb, sit or hang on inflatable walls, attempt somersaults, overcrowd equipment, or use equipment contrary to the instructions, intended age range or safe purpose.
5. Equipment and emergencies
You must not move, alter, deflate, repair or tamper with equipment, blowers, electrical connections, stakes, anchors or safety mats. Keep entrances, blowers and anchoring points clear.
Stop use immediately, calmly evacuate users and contact Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond if equipment deflates, shifts, becomes damaged, loses power or appears unsafe. Follow any emergency or shutdown instruction given by Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond.
6. Weather safety
Inflatables must not be used when weather conditions exceed the manufacturer's limits or when Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond considers conditions unsafe. This includes excessive wind, heavy rain, lightning or unsafe ground conditions. Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond may suspend, alter or cancel a hire on safety grounds.
Where Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond cancels because conditions are unsafe, the current policy is to offer a transfer within 12 months, subject to availability. This does not affect any legal right you may have to a refund or another remedy.
7. Damage, loss and incidents
Tell Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond promptly about any accident, injury, damage, theft or malfunction. Preserve relevant details and do not continue using affected equipment.
The hirer may be responsible for reasonable repair, cleaning or replacement costs caused by deliberate, reckless or prohibited use, theft, or a failure to follow this agreement, but not for fair wear and tear or loss caused by Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond's breach or negligence.
8. Payment and cancellation
A minimum 25% payment is required to secure the booking. Any remaining balance is due on the day unless another arrangement is confirmed in writing.
Any retained deposit, cancellation fee or damage charge will be explained clearly and limited to what is permitted by the stated booking policy and applicable law, including reasonable costs or losses where relevant.
9. Risk and your legal rights
You understand that active play carries inherent risks even when equipment is correctly installed and supervised, and you agree to take the safety responsibilities described above.
Nothing in this agreement excludes or restricts Kings Castles Torfaen & Beyond's liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and your statutory consumer rights.
You will be asked to confirm these terms and type your name as an electronic signature during booking.
