Kings Castles Hire Terms & Disclaimer

Booking Deposit and Balance Payment

A booking deposit equal to 25% of the total hire price is required to reserve the requested date and equipment. A booking is not confirmed until the booking deposit has been received.

The remaining hire balance must be paid no later than seven days before the booking date. If the balance is not received by the due date, Kings Castles will contact the hirer and may cancel the booking if payment remains outstanding.

The booking deposit is separate from the refundable damage bond.

Damage and Additional Cleaning Charges

A separate refundable damage bond of £40 must be paid before the equipment is installed. Kings Castles will inspect the equipment when collecting it at the end of the party. The £40 bond will be returned at collection, provided the equipment is returned in the condition in which it was supplied.

Kings Castles may retain a reasonable amount from the bond if additional cleaning or repairs are required because of misuse, negligence, prohibited products or failure to follow this agreement.

If the reasonable cleaning, repair or replacement cost exceeds £40, the hirer will remain responsible for the outstanding amount. Photographic evidence and details of any deduction or additional charge will be provided.

Safe Use and Adult Supervision

All equipment must be used safely, responsibly and only for its intended purpose.

A responsible adult aged 18 or over must supervise the equipment and its users at all times throughout the hire period.

The hirer must ensure that users follow all safety instructions provided by Kings Castles, including any restrictions relating to age, height, capacity and the number of users permitted at one time.

Shoes, food, drinks, chewing gum, sharp objects, pets, smoking and vaping are not permitted on or near any inflatable or soft-play equipment.

Users must not climb, sit or hang on the walls, netting or entrance areas of any inflatable.

Face Paint and Prohibited Products

Face painters are strictly prohibited at any party or event where Kings Castles equipment is being hired. This rule applies even if the hirer states that children with face paint will not use the equipment.

If a face painter is present when Kings Castles arrives, the equipment will not be installed. If a face painter arrives or is discovered after installation, use of the equipment must stop immediately and Kings Castles reserves the right to dismantle and remove it.

No refund will be provided where installation is refused or the hire is ended because a face painter is present.

Face paint, silly string and temporary tattoos are strictly prohibited on or near all inflatables and soft-play equipment. The hirer will be responsible for reasonable specialist cleaning, repair or replacement costs caused by prohibited products.

Bad Weather and High Winds

Inflatables must not be used during high winds, heavy rain, thunderstorms or any other weather conditions that could make their use unsafe.

Kings Castles has the right to refuse installation, cancel the hire, suspend use or collect the equipment early where weather or ground conditions are considered unsafe.

If Kings Castles cancels an outdoor booking before installation because of unsafe weather, the amount paid will be transferred to another available date within 12 months.

Once equipment has been installed, no refund will be provided if the weather later changes. The hirer must stop using the equipment immediately if instructed by Kings Castles or if conditions become unsafe.

Safety decisions made by Kings Castles are final and must be followed.

Customer Cancellations and Date Changes

All cancellations and requests to change a booking date must be made directly to Kings Castles.

Where at least four weeks’ notice is provided, Kings Castles may allow the booking deposit to be transferred once to another available date within 12 months.

If the hirer cancels with less than four weeks’ notice, the 25% booking deposit will be retained.

If the hirer cancels within seven days of the booking, after the remaining balance has become due, Kings Castles may retain a reasonable cancellation charge to cover losses caused by the late cancellation. This will take account of any costs saved and whether the equipment can be hired to another customer.

Any approved date change is subject to availability and must be arranged directly with Kings Castles.

Cancellation by Kings Castles

If Kings Castles is unable to safely provide the hire because of dangerous weather, unsuitable ground conditions or another event outside our reasonable control, no cash refund will be issued. The full amount paid will instead be transferred to one alternative available date chosen by the hirer within 12 months of the original booking date.

The replacement booking is subject to date and equipment availability. If the originally selected equipment is unavailable, an appropriate alternative may be offered. Transferred payments cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another customer.

If Kings Castles cancels because of equipment failure or another issue within our reasonable control and cannot provide a suitable replacement, the hirer may choose to transfer the amount paid to another available date within 12 months or receive a refund for the equipment or service that cannot be provided.

Kings Castles will inform the hirer of any cancellation as soon as reasonably possible and will not be responsible for unrelated or additional costs, except where required by law.

Liability and Customer Responsibility

The hirer is responsible for ensuring that all users behave safely, follow the instructions provided and remain properly supervised throughout the hire period.

Kings Castles will not be responsible for injury, loss or damage caused by misuse of the equipment, inadequate supervision, prohibited items or failure to follow the safety instructions and terms of this agreement.

The hirer must immediately stop use and contact Kings Castles if the equipment appears damaged, unsafe or begins operating incorrectly.

Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits any liability that Kings Castles cannot legally exclude, including liability resulting from our negligence.

Delivery Access and Installation Requirements

The hirer must provide safe, clear and suitable access to the setup area at the agreed delivery and collection times.

Equipment will not be carried through a house or other unsuitable indoor route. Outdoor bookings must have suitable side or rear access and a safe setup area consisting of real grass where the equipment can be securely anchored.

Kings Castles does not install inflatables on concrete, artificial grass, public car parks or any surface where the equipment cannot be safely secured.

The hirer must disclose steps, narrow entrances, restricted access, slopes, overhead obstructions and any other potential access or setup issues before booking.

Kings Castles may refuse installation if the access, surface, available space or surroundings are unsuitable or unsafe. Where installation cannot proceed because information was withheld or the agreed requirements were not met, payments will not be refundable.

Users, Capacity and Behaviour

The hirer must ensure that the equipment is only used by people within the age, height and weight limits stated by Kings Castles or displayed on the equipment.

Adults must not use children’s inflatables unless Kings Castles has specifically confirmed that the equipment is suitable for adult use.

Users of significantly different sizes or ages must not use the inflatable together where this could create a safety risk.

Overcrowding, rough play, fighting, flips, climbing on inflatable walls and deliberately crashing into other users are prohibited.

Anyone who is unwell, injured, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behaviour could endanger themselves or others must not use the equipment.
